Terms of Use

FajrPlus is licensed to you under Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which you accept when you download the app from the App Store. You can read it at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula. The points below explain how FajrPlus and FajrPlus Premium work in plain words, and what FajrPlus can and cannot promise. By using FajrPlus you accept these terms.

FajrPlus Premium

• FajrPlus Premium is an auto-renewing yearly subscription, bought through the App Store. Its price is shown in the app and in the App Store before you buy, in your own currency.
• Where a free trial is offered, it lasts 7 days. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the yearly subscription starts and is charged to your Apple Account.
• Without a trial, payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
• The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current year. Your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the year ends.
• You can manage or cancel the subscription at any time in your iPhone's Settings: tap your name, then Subscriptions, then FajrPlus. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Premium stays open until the end of the year you paid for.
• If you buy a subscription during a free trial, any unused part of the trial ends.
• Premium on a new iPhone: open Settings in FajrPlus, then FajrPlus Premium, and tap Restore purchases.

What stays free

The Fajr alarm is free for good. If Premium ends, your alarms keep ringing: anything that was Premium, such as a sound or a wake mode, is replaced by its free counterpart, and nothing you set up is deleted.

Refunds

Payments are handled by Apple, and so are refunds. You can ask for one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Your alarms and your iPhone

FajrPlus rings through the iPhone's own alarm system and does all it can to wake you. It relies on your iPhone to do so: it cannot ring while the iPhone is switched off or its battery is empty, and it needs the Alarms permission to be allowed. Settings, then Alarm check in FajrPlus, shows whether everything is ready.

No guarantee

FajrPlus is provided as it is and as available. We work hard to make it reliable, but we do not promise that every alarm will ring, ring on time, keep ringing, or wake you. Whether an alarm rings depends on many things outside our control, among them your iPhone, its settings, permissions, Focus and volume, its battery, iOS and its updates, other apps, and how deeply you sleep. Wake modes and the Wake Check make it harder to go back to sleep; they cannot make sure that you get up.

Your responsibility

You decide how to use FajrPlus, and you remain responsible for waking up and for keeping your commitments, including prayers, work, school, travel, appointments and medication. Where missing a time could cause you harm or loss, do not rely on FajrPlus alone: keep a second way to wake, such as another alarm or another person. After every iOS update, and from time to time, run Alarm check in FajrPlus's Settings to see that alarms ring.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, the maker of FajrPlus is not liable for any loss or damage that comes from an alarm that did not ring, rang late or early, stopped, was silenced, or did not wake you, from a prayer time that differed from the one you expected, or from any other use of FajrPlus or inability to use it. This includes missed prayers, missed work, school, travel, appointments or medication, lost income or profit, and any indirect or consequential loss.

Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for FajrPlus Premium in the twelve months before the event. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, such as liability for intent or gross negligence, or your rights as a consumer that cannot be waived.

Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which applies to FajrPlus, contains the same disclaimer of warranties and limitation of liability.

Prayer times

Fajr is calculated on your iPhone from the sun's position for your place, with the calculation method you choose. The times are estimates, not a religious ruling. Mosques and methods can differ by several minutes, so pick the method your mosque uses, or set the time by hand, and follow your mosque or scholars where they differ.

Privacy

FajrPlus collects no personal information. The privacy policy explains what stays on your iPhone and what goes through Apple.

Changes

If these terms change, the new version will be on this page, with its date.
