Privacy Policy

FajrPlus is an alarm app for Fajr, made to work on your iPhone alone. There is no account, no sign in, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking. We do not collect, keep or sell any personal information.

What stays on your iPhone

Your alarms and their sounds and wake modes, your settings, your Fajr place and its prayer times, your alarm history and your wake up records, the photos you take of where a QR code is placed, and a log of what the alarms did are kept only on your iPhone, in FajrPlus's own storage. The Fajr widget reads a copy of the Fajr times from that same storage. None of it is sent to us or to anyone else. Deleting FajrPlus deletes it.

What FajrPlus asks your iPhone for

Each of these is asked for only when a feature needs it, and each can be turned off again in the iPhone's Settings.

• Location, while you use the app: to work out Fajr for where you are. The calculation is done on your iPhone.
• Alarms: so iOS rings your alarms, even on silent or in a Focus.
• Notifications: for the bedtime reminder, the Wake Check, and the reminder before a free trial ends.
• Camera: for the QR Scan wake mode, to read your code and to photograph where you placed it.
• Motion: for the Walk and Shake wake modes, to count steps and shakes.
• Face ID: for the Face ID wake mode. FajrPlus only learns whether a scan succeeded. Your face data never leaves the iPhone's Secure Enclave.
• NFC: for the NFC Tag wake mode, to recognise your tag.

What goes through Apple

A few things FajrPlus does are done by Apple's services, under Apple's own privacy policy at apple.com/legal/privacy.

• Searching for a town sends what you type to Apple Maps.
• Naming your town from your location sends that location to Apple's map service.
• Subscriptions are bought and managed through the App Store. FajrPlus never sees your payment details.
• To show FajrPlus's rating on the offer, FajrPlus asks the App Store for it. Only the app's own name in the store and your country are sent, nothing about you.

Writing to us

If you write to us from Support, your mail app opens with the app's version and, for a problem report, the last lines of the alarm log already filled in. You see all of it, and you choose whether to send it.

Children

FajrPlus collects nothing from anyone, children included.

This website

This website sets no cookies and has no analytics or tracking. It loads nothing from other companies: its fonts and pictures are served from this site. The site is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., which delivers the pages to your browser. To do that, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type, and may keep it briefly in its logs to run and secure its network. We do not use this data, and Cloudflare handles it under its own privacy policy at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be in the app and on this page, with its date.
